FLORENCE-The Florence Police Department released a statement concerning the arrest on Tuesday August 1st of a suspect wanted in a shooting that took place in Florence on July 3:
“Shortly before 3am on July 3rd 2017 Florence police officers responded to ECM hospital to a reported shooting victim who was being treated at their facility. Officers determined that the victim had been shot multiple times prior to being transported by a private vehicle to the hospital. An investigation into the shooting led officers to the intersection of Cherokee Street and Westmorland Street where evidence was collected and a scene was processed.
Kentrell Leshore was arrested this morning. With the help of the US Marshall’s we were able to track him down in a home in Florence. If you remember Mr Leshore was wanted for Attempted Murder in a shooting that happened in Florence.
Due to the nature of his charges the Florence SWAT unit was used to make the arrest. Mr Leshore is in the Lauderdeale County Detention Center on a $57,500 Bond. Once he bonds on the current charges he has four traffic warrants with the City of Florence.”
