Susie McLemore age 97 of Athens, passed away Thursday, December 15, 2016 at her residence. Mrs. McLemore was born September 19, 1919 in Limestone County, AL to James Monroe Bradford and Bertha Coats Bradford.
Graveside services will be Saturday, December 17, 2016 11:00 a.m., at Athens City Cemetery with Dusty McLemore officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home.
Mrs. McLemore was a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church for over 70 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard McLemore; six brothers and three sisters.
Survived by two daughters, Norma Miller and husband, Jim of Huntsville, AL and Lynn Wynell Blanton of Athens, AL; two grandchildren, Traci Brooks and husband, Tony of Owens Cross Rds., AL and Christopher Blanton of Athens, AL; three great-grandchildren, Joseph Brooks, Kristy Maples and Shannon Brooks all of Owens Cross Rds., AL; one great-great-grandchild, Eli Brooks of Owens Cross Rds., AL; one brother, Thomas Bradford of Clarksville, IN.
Pallbearers will be Christopher, Tony Brooks, Joseph Brooks and Toby Maples.
In lieu of flowers make memorials to Hospice of Limestone County.
