Obituary of Susan Griswell Susan Griswell, 68 went to rest in her eternal home on Saturday, September 6, 2025 at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo, Mississippi. Susan was born December 19, 1956 to the late Carlos and Lillie Ferrell Lambert in Savannah, Tennessee.

Mrs. Griswell worked for several McNairy County, Tennessee nursing homes and rehabilitation centers as a certified nursing assistant. She loved gardening especially hydrangeas, roses, and elephant ears. She could be called stubborn or hard headed but was known as a dedicated and hard worker. She had a deep love for her favorite dog “Miley”. The family would like to send a special “Thank you to the nursing staff of The Sanctuary House.

Mrs. Griswell was welcomed home by her parents; sister, Cynthia Jane Lambert; niece, Jo Etta Bain; son-in-law, Brian Thrasher; and her best friend, Lisa Rodgers.

Mrs. Griswell leaves behind her legacy; husband, Billie Martin; daughters, Christina Loivo (Raul), Martha Ray (Andrew), and Michelle Thrasher; sisters, Carla Lynn and Robin Wyatt; grandchildren, Joshua Olivo, Alicia Olivo, Carter Ray, Harrison Ray, Cody Sullivan (Rachel), and Hunter Sullivan (Paige); seven great-grandchildren; as well as a host of extended family and friends.

There is a Celebration of Life Service scheduled for Saturday, September 13, 2025 beginning at one o’clock in the afternoon at McPeters Funeral Home in Corinth, Mississippi with Bro. Warren Jones officiating. The family will accept friends beginning at eleven o’clock in the morning until service time. Mrs. Griswe;; will be laid to rest in Henry Cemetery in Corinth, Mississippi following the service. The family has requested in lieu of flowers donations be made to The Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo, Mississippi.
