A celebration of life service for Edna Miller, 92, will be held at 12:00 pm Saturday, September 27, 2025 at Gaines Chapel Global Methodist Church with Rev. Chris Klingenfus officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until service time at the church.
Mrs. Miller died on Thursday, September 4, 2025 at her residence. She was born on October 18, 1932, in New Albany, MS to late Louie and Carrie Tunnell Bennett. At a young age her family moved to Memphis, TN where she graduated from Messick High School in 1950 and attended Memphis State University earning her teaching degree and served as principal at Glenmoore Academy School. In 1977 she was chosen as TN State mother of the year, American Women of Who’s Who and was a member of Parkway Village Garden Club and Eastminster Presbyterian Church. She and her husband moved from Germantown, TN to McNairy County, TN in 1989 where they resided before moving to Corinth, MS. After moving to Corinth, she was an active member of Gaines Chapel Global Methodist Church until her health declined.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert H. Miller; parents; son, Robert E. Miller; brothers, Joe Bennett and James Bennett.
She is survived by her sons, Barry Miller (Lew Ann), Billy Miller (Linda); daughters, Debi McCaffrey, Leigh Ann Walkner; daughter-in-law, Betty Reno Miller; grandchildren, Adam Miller, Karin Frewin, Matt Miller, Carrie Fly, Michael McCaffrey, Anna Rawlings, Allyson Weeks, Blake Miller and Mallory Hanson and thirteen great-grandchildren.
