SHEFFIELD-Surgical Associates of The Shoals,PC held a grand opening and ribbon cutting on Tuesday, June 13. They are celebrating the opening of their new location at 1120 South Jackson Highway, Suite 105 in Sheffield.
The Shoals Chamber was on hand to assist in the celebration by hosting an old-fashioned ribbon cutting.

“Dr. J. Ryan Conner, MD, attended Auburn University for an Undergraduate Degree in Microbiology with a Premedicine Concentration where he graduated Cum Laude.
After completing his undergraduate education, he attended Mercer University School of Medicine in Macon, Georgia. It was there in medical school that he fell in love with the art of general surgery. There he achieved high marks and was awarded the Outstanding Surgical Student Award. Dr. Conner completed his residency in Birmingham, Alabama where he served as a Chief Resident for the Surgery program, receiving the Hugh Linder Award for outstanding surgical resident.
Dr. Conner is board certified in General Surgery by the American Board of Surgery. He maintains an active license to practice medicine in the state of Alabama by the State of Alabama Medical Licensure Commission. He is also an Active member in the American College of Surgeons where he is an active fellow member. In addition he maintains a role in Helen Keller Board of Advisors, Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons, the Medical Association of the State of Alabama, and the Southeastern Surgical Society. His interests include endoscopic procedures, colorectal cancer screening and prevention, breast cancer screening, treatment, and prevention, minimally invasive surgical procedures including laparoscopy for colorectal and anti-reflux surgery. Dr. Conner and his wife Lauren now make Tuscumbia, Alabama home and are parents to three wonderful children.
