Stephen Eugene TurnerStephen Eugene Turner was born 25th of February 1950 in Haleyville, AL. to the late Eugene and Lois Townsend Turner. He passed away Wednesday June 5, 2019 at the age of 69.

His visitation will be Sunday June 9, 2019 from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM at Pinkard Funeral Home in Haleyville, AL. Funeral service at 2:00 PM in the chapel. Burial to follow in Lynn Cemetery.

He is survived by Marie Guthrie his aunt, who he considered his sister, and a host of relatives and friends.

He was always a mischievous child, enjoyed joking and carrying on. As he grew up he became interested in cutting and styling men and women’s hair. That became his choice to become a professional and own his own shop. He was born with a interest in history. He loved learning about his family as well as local history. He was very proud of his Native American Heritage, as well as his membership in The Sons of Confederacy, The Winston County Grays Camp and the Echota Cherokee Tribe-Bird Clan.

He enjoyed life to the fullest, loved his family and friends. He fought a hard battle with Cancer and never gave up.

In Lieu of Flowers, He wanted donations made to either of the following, Lynn City Cemetery Fund, Sons of The Confederacy, Winston County Archives and Winston County Grays Camp.
