Mr. Jerry Gene Fouts, age 71, of Arab, passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at Floyd E. Tut “Fann” State Veterans Home.
Mr. Fouts was born on October 13, 1947 in Iowa to Emmitt James Fouts & Ruthe Doris Whitney Fouts. Mr. Fouts was a U.S Army and Navy veteran and served in the Vietnam War. Mr. Fouts was a jack of all trades always making home repairs. He enjoyed listening to music, fishing & crusing around in his ultralight flyer.
He was a member of North West Baptist Church.
Mr. Foust is survived by his wife of 52 years, Patricia “Pat” Morrow Fouts; sons, James Whitney Fouts, Tim Martin Fouts; daughters & son-in-law, tina Marie Fouts, Barbara Ann Fouts Reeves & Brian; brothers & sister-in-law, Terry Fouts & Pat, Jimmy Fouts, E.J. Fouts, Virgil Fouts; sisters & brothers-in-law, Becky Jean Barnes & Rubein, Janet Jean Fouts, Janell marie Freeman & Jack, Sheila Marie Fouts; 8 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, Emmitt James Fouts & Ruthe Doris Whitney Fouts.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 10, 2019 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel with Bro. Randy Blakely, officiating. Burial will be in New Salem Cemetery with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.
Visitation will be 12:00 p.m. – 2:00p.m. Monday, June 10, 2019 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel.

Jerry was my cousin as my Mother (Dorothy Fouts) and his Father Emmett were sister and brother. I lost track of him over the years and I so sorry to hear of his death. He will be missed by all of the family..
