Stephen “Bubba” Cory Baugher, age 39, of Decatur, Alabama passed away on Thursday, April 24 2025 at his residence. Arrangements will be announced at a later date and time.
Mr. Baugher was born in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida on February 5, 1986 to Robert Morris Baugher and Lisa Pendergrast.
Stephen brought light and laughter into every room he entered. Stephen was truly one of a kind. Known for his enormous heart, infectious smile, and unforgettable sense of humor, he had a rare gift for making people feel seen and loved. His laugh could brighten even the darkest day. He spent most of his adult life working in construction and also dedicated time to working with adults with special needs—a testament to his compassion and selflessness. He had a way of connecting with people that few possess. Stephen had a deep love for horror movies and an even deeper love for his family. He cherished every moment spent with them and held them close to his heart.
He is survived by his mother, Lisa Pendergrast; brother, Cody Baugher; grandfather, Melvin Pendergrast; niece, Sierra Baugher; nephew, Clayton Baugher; aunt, Marcia Pendergrast; three uncles, Ronnie, Donnie, and Mark Pendergrast; ex-wife, Emily Tindell; and three step-children, Sarah, Dylan, and Jaxson Bradley.
He was preceded in death by his beloved Nanny.
Stephen’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. His spirit – full of laughter, kindness, and love – will never be forgotten.
