Stephanie R. (Maddock) Moorehead, 78 of Hartselle passed away Saturday, December 30, 2023 at Decatur-Morgan Hospital. She was born May 20, 1945 in New Jersey to Edward Maddock and Naomi Pearsall Maddock. Stephanie was a Member of East Highland Baptist Church and a Graduate of Decatur High School Class of 1963. She was preceded in death by her parents, and Grandson, Aaron B. Lee. Stephanie retired from Decatur Orthopedic after 30 years where she worked alongside Dr. Bill Sims as his nurse. Stephanie was a wonderful Mother, Friend, and Grandmother, and neighbor She loved to sew, tend to her flowers, birdwatch, love on her puppy dogs and spend time with family. Her family would like to thank her loving caregiver, Katharine Smith, for being so good to her for the past year and enabling her to stay at home. Also a big thank you to the nurses and staff at Decatur-Morgan Homecare and Hospice of North Alabama, and the emergency medical technicians who always were so wonderful when they were needed. Memorial Services will be held at a later date for close friends and family.
