A visitation for Ms. Betty Jean Woodall Waits age 81 will be held Tuesday, January 2, 2024 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at 1:00 PM in the chapel. Interment will be at Roselawn Cemetery in Decatur. Glen Waddell will be officiating. Peck Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
Ms. Waits passed away at her residence with her family by her side on Saturday, December 30, 2023. She was born to Robert Lester and Lida Waddell Woodall on December 19, 1942 in Morgan County, Alabama. She worked as physical therapist at Pineview Hospital prior to retiring. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many. She absolutely loved being around her family.
She is preceded in death by her husband Ennis Waits; brothers, Wayne Woodall, Alton Woodall, and James Woodall.
She is survived by her Two sons, Joe Aaron Harris and Richard “Alan” Harris
