FLORENCE-The Shoals Theatre in Florence will be hosting a fundraising event this weekend as well getting ready to restart the theatre season with auditions for an upcoming play.
Join us THIS Saturday (September 12th) at Jack’s Place Bistro in downtown Florence from 11am-3pm for a Spaghetti lunch! Professional food stylist and restaurateur Jack White has graciously offered to host this lunch with 100% of the proceeds going to the Shoals Community Theatre. Auditions
Auditions for David Mamet’s OLEANNA, will be held Thursday, September 24, at 7 PM at the Shoals Theatre in Florence, AL. Michael Green is directing this two-person drama.
OLEANNA is a powerful two-character drama about the power struggle between a university professor and one of his female students. The play explores the destructiveness of miscommunication, excessive political correctness, academic politics, student/teacher relationships and sexual harassment.
Roles are available for one male, age 30-50. The role of Carol is already cast.
Auditions will be by appointment only and will be scheduled in 15 minute blocks beginning at 7 PM. WALK-UPS will be accepted as time permits. Audition material will be sent via email.
