Somerville Man Dies In Single-Vehicle Accident Near Hartselle

HARTSELLE-On Thursday, March 12 the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports a single-vehicle accident as occurred that has taken the life of one person:

 “A single-vehicle crash at 6:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 11, has claimed the life of a Somerville man.

Jack Daniel Grandstaff, 35, was killed when the 2006 Volvo SUV he was driving left the roadway on Vaughn Bridge Road and struck a utility pole. Grandstaff, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash occurred six miles west of Hartselle.

Nothing further is available as ALEA Troopers continue to investigate.”
