COLBERT COUNTY-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency has issued a statement concerning a single-vehicle accident that occurred on Saturday, October 23 that has left a pedestrian seriously injured:
“A single-vehicle crash involving a pedestrian that occurred at approximately 9:35 a.m. Saturday, October 23, has left a Hartselle man critically injured.
Michael Savage, 49, of Leighton was driving a 2019 Toyota Avalon that collided with a pedestrian, William Douglas Jr., 41. Douglas who was in the process of exiting a delivery truck sustained serious injuries and was transported to North Mississippi Medical Center for treatment.
The crash occurred on Old Highway 20 approximately three miles east of Muscle Shoals. Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
