Edward Franklin Poolos, age 82 of Haleyville, Alabama passed away October 27, 2021 at his residence. He served in the United States Army, retired from W.M. Burnett Truck Lines having worked there over 30 years and was a member of First Baptist Church Haleyville.
Visitation will be Sunday, October 31, 2021 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home, Haleyville, AL. The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. with Jeff Chaffin and Nathan Carroll officiating. Burial will follow in Winston Memorial Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Barry Tidwell, Harold Frederick, Jonathan Bennett and Boo Haughton.
Mr. Poolos is survived by his wife, Georgianna “Anna” Poolos; son, Edward F. Poolos II & his wife, Brooke Manasco Poolos; sister, Patricia Davis; and grandchildren, Amelia C. Poolos, Sophia E. Poolos and Julia R. Poolos.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Morgan A. Poolos and Willie Moore Poolos; sister, Nancy McKemie; and brother, Emmett Poolos.
