WINSTON COUNTY-Monday, June 20 the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reported a traffic accident resulting in the death of a Vernon man:
” A single-vehicle crash at 7:55 a.m. today, June 20, claimed the life of a Vernon man. Anthony Keith Corkren, 34, was killed when the 2001 Mack truck he was driving left U.S. 278, 13 miles west of Double Springs and struck several trees. Corkren was pronounced dead at the scene. Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.”
