Sidney Junior “Jack” Jackson – Obituary

sidneySidney Junior “Jack” Jackson graduated from earth to heaven on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at home surrounded by his loving family.

 

He was born April 04, 1932 to Sidney O. & Mary W. Jackson in Russellville, AL, he married Anna Jane Shields on December 20, 1951. Sidney and his sweetheart of more than 62 years, moved back to Alabama in 1986 following his retirement from General Motors in Flint, Michigan after 33 years of service.

 

In September, 1956, he gave his heart to his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and remained faithful serving God in many capacities.

 

His love for his family was only surpassed by his love for God. Surviving are daughters, Jarita Venable, Cindy Ledford, and Judy (Randy) Tucker. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Josh Venable, Justin (Jamie-Lee) Venable, Cameron Jackson; brothers, Bill, Charles, Elmer, Howard; and sisters, Dot and Elise; and host of nieces & nephews. He was privileged to inherit grandchild Greg (Stephanie) Tucker and his children Caden, Levi, and Skyla. Also surviving are special family, Henry and Sharon Hereida, Sherry Forrest, Jerry (Raymond) Saltzman and the members of South Highland Freewill Baptist Church.
