Shooting In Athens…Two Men Injured

ATHENS-Athens Police Chief Floyd Johnson released a statement on the shooting that took place around 2:30 PM on Saturday, March 4:

“This afternoon, Saturday, March 4 at 2:35 the police department received a call of a shooting on Hardy Street.

A short time later we received a second call from the Athens Limestone Hospital about a person that had can to the ER in a private vehicle also shot.

At this time we have two males one shot in the arm and the other shot in the leg. The male that was shot in the leg was flown to Huntsville Hospital by Med-Flight. 

At the present time investigators have not been able to interview either of the males.

I don’t have any reports on either subject’s condition.” – Athens Police Chief Floyd Johnson
