Shirley V. Manasco – Obituary

Shirley V. Manasco, 81, passed away Sunday, October 12, 2014, at her home. She was born March 28, 1933, to Jesse and Ruby Crane Barnett. She was a homemaker and worked at Hickory Hill Furniture for many years. She was a member of Mt. Olive Methodist Church. She enjoyed sewing, working in her garden, and being around her family, especially her grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p. m. Tuesday, October 14, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton with Bro. Andy Barnett and Bro. Smith Lilley officiating. Burial will be in Itawamba Memorial Gardens.

Survivors include one son, Jimmy D. Manasco (Marcia), of Mobile, AL; two daughters, Nancy Sartin (Donnie) and Melissa “Mitzi” Manasco, both of Tremont; two brothers, Myrl Barnett (Myra) of Arley, AL, and Corky Barnett (Pauline) of Tremont; three sisters, Pat Pounders (Gayre) of Tremont, Pam Owen (Bill) of Tupelo, and Donna Pitts (Halbert) of Tremont; six grandchildren, Lori Thomas (Tony), David Sartin (Courtney), Jimmy Manasco, Jr., Amber Patterson (Leon), Joshua Wood (Lauren), and Roman Wood (Maria); eight great-grandchildren, Whitney and Jesse Thomas; Kix, Beau, and Arabella Patterson; and Savannah, Ava, and Jax Sartin.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Manasco, on October 12, 2010; two sisters, Dorothy Grimes and Ann Killingsworth; and her parents.

Pallbearers will be David Sartin, Joshua Wood, Roman Wood, Jimmy Manasco, Jr., Tony Thomas, and Leon Patterson.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p. m. Monday, October 13, at the funeral home.
