Sherry Ann Appleton, 70, of Minor Hill, Tennessee passed away Tuesday, July 5, 2022 in Columbia, Tennessee. Sherry was born Monday October 29, 1951 in Athens, Alabama to Bud Gates and Geneva Elizabeth Pylant Gates.
Sherry has lived in this area all her life.
She is preceded in death by her father and her mother; daughter, Janet Phillips; sister, Sheryl Gates Morris; and brother, Gary Gates.
She is survived by her husband, Wade Appleton; son, Timothy Appleton; brother, Wade Gates; sisters, Donna Whitfield and Patricia Miller; grandchildren, Shelby Rolin and James Rolin; and 1 great grandchild.
There will be a Graveside Service Friday, July 8, 2022 at 3:00 PM at Minor Hill Cemetery, Minor Hill, Tennessee.
Pallbearers will be George Helton, Wade Gates, Harold Peachin, Clay Fitzgerald, and Robert Appleton.
