Sherria Ruth Isom, 72 of Arab, died Thursday October 12, 2017 at her residence.
Mrs. Isom was born January 9, 1945 in Marshall County to Houston C. “Buck” Betterton and Margaret Ruth Wilkes Betterton. She was a graduate of Fort Knox High School in Kentucky. Her husband: Billy Sherrell Isom preceded her in death on February 9, 2000. Mrs. Isom enjoyed traveling, especially with her sisters; she also loved to play golf, watch Alabama Football, she volunteered her time in various charity’s, was very active in her church and loved spending time with her family and dearly loved her grandchildren.
She was a member of Arab First United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Isom is survived by her son’s and daughter’s in law: Jeff Isom and Amy, Greg Isom and Christie and David Isom; a step daughter and son-in-law: Patty Martinette and Greg; her grandchildren: Samuel Isom, Caleb Isom, Rachael Isom, Ashley Isom, Billy Isom, Devin Rose and Lee Rose and Kelsey; her sisters and brother-in-law: Patsy Betterton Carter and Linda Betterton Hart and Johnny. She was preceded in death by her husband: Billy Sherrell Isom and her parents: Houston C. “Buck” and Margaret Betterton.
Memorial Service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday October 21, 2017 at Arab First United Methodist Church with Rev: Steve West and Rev. Kenny Baskins, officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Arab First United Methodist Church – Building Fund.
