Funeral services for Mrs. Lula Mae Wadley, age 99, are scheduled for 4 PM, Saturday, October 14, 2017 in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home in Lexington. Interment will follow in Unity Cemetery. Mrs. Wadley passed away early Friday in Lexington. She was born October 8, 1918 in Luray to the late Obe and Grace Reed Russell. She was a homemaker and a member of Unity Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Herbert “Jazz” Wadley; one son, Kenneth Lynn Wadley; one brother, Elton Russell; and one grandson, Jeffrey Clay Wadley. Survivors include her two sons, Bill Wadley(Peggy) and David Wayne Wadley (Stephanie) ; Seven grandchildren, Scott Wadley (Marion), Kevin Wadley, Marcy White (Mark), Megan Wadley, Caleb Wadley and Chaloe and Chase McGill; nine great grandchildren, Madison & Ashton Wadley, Will Wadley, Nate, Lynley, and Whitten White, Coady & Elora Wadley, and Caidon McGill; her daughter-in-law, Kristie Woods (Mike); special caregiver, Zula White; and the special nurses and aides at Lexington Manor.
