Shelia Faye Baker, age 61, of Russellville, passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at Russellville Hospital.
Faye was a devoted member of Waco Baptist Church where she also served as secretary. She was a member of the Alabama Baptist Association. She had worked along with her husband in their metal building business. Faye was a caring, kind, giving, and loving woman, wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a simple yet solid woman that cared for everyone before herself. She was the rock of our family, the best person, and smartest woman around who remembered everything. She loved kids, but especially loved being a grandmother. Our lives are forever changed, and we will cherish her memories forever.
She was preceded in death her first husband, Kenny Bishop; daughters, Jennifer Bishop, Jessica Bishop, Sarah Fay Baker; and father, Kenneth Ray Dickerson.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 38 years, William David Baker; son, Stanley David Baker (Desirea); step-sons, Nathan Baker (Jessica), Anthony Baker, Chris Baker, Ken Baker; granddaughter, Nora Baker; step-grandchildren, Emma & Morgan Baker, Zoey Baker, Ethan, Wyatt, & Aiden Baker, Kenneth Baker, Landon & Cade Baker; mother, Joyce Phillips Walters; brother, Ray Dickerson; favorite aunt, Trish Gregg; nieces & nephews, Michael Dickerson (Stacie), Jake Dickerson (Shelby), Jason Cothrum, Tim Parker, Tony Parker, Samantha Chaney (Jr.) and a host of other nieces, nephews, and friends.
The visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Friday, May 17, 2024, at Spry Memorial Chapel. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 18, 2024, at Spry Memorial Chapel with Bro. Scott Moore officiating the service. The burial will be at Franklin Memory Gardens.
The pallbearers will be Troy Wisdom, Jake Tompkins, Josh Tompkins; Roy Holland, and Tifford Borden. The honorary pallbearers will be Michael Dickerson, and Jason Cothrum.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the doctors, nurses, and staff of North Alabama Medical Center for their love and care.
