  Alene Shelby Stanfill Shelby Stanfill was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on December 11, 1930 the daughter of the late Herman McDaniel and Pearl Jane Austin Shelby.

On December 22, 1962 she was united in marriage to James E. Stanfill, who preceded his wife in death on November 2, 2015.

Alene worked for Brown Shoe Company for 40 years. She attended White’s Creek Freewill Baptist Church and was a member of Big Ivy Home Demonstration Club. Alene loved sewing, cooking, flower gardening and canning. She would check in on her neighbors and give them home grown vegetables.

Alene departed this life on Monday, October 5, 2020 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 89 years, 9 months and 24 days.

She is survived by one daughter, Beverly Jerrolds and her husband Rickey of Savannah, Tennessee and two grandchildren, Kaylie Jerrolds and Tyler Jerrolds.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, James Shelby.
