Shelby McDonald, age 80, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Sunday, June 05, 2016 at Southern TN Regional Health System in Lawrenceburg, TN. She was a native of Lawrence County, TN, retired from Jones Apparel, and a member of Mars Hill United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Clarence and Norma Byrd Cromwell; her husband, Joseph Aaron McDonald; one daughter, Jean Elizabeth Hood; and one grandchild, Bruce Wayne Grubbs.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, June 07, 2016 at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Mars Hill United Methodist Church at 2:00 PM Wednesday, June 08, 2016, with Billy Beal officiating. Mrs. McDonald will lie in state at the church from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM. Interment will follow at Mars Hill Cemetery in Lawrenceburg, TN. Family suggests memorials be made to Mars Hill Cemetery Fund.
