SHEFFIELD-The Sheffield Public Library will be the sponsor for a showing of paintings done by artist Clay Allison who grew up in Sheffield and now lives in Springville, Alabama.The event will be Tuesday, April 16 at the library starting at 5:30 PM. The paintings in the Sheffield Paint the Town Series are paintings of homes and buildings in Sheffield drawn from Clay’s memories of Sheffield as it was when he was a boy growing up there.
Clay Allison will have all the paintings in the Sheffield Paint the Town Series to view, share the process in how the paintings are created, and the memories each painting rekindles growing up in Sheffield. There will be a question and answer time that your personal memories can also be shared. This is a free event.
