SHEFFIELD-The Sheffield Police Chief issued a press release concerning the murder-suicide that took place on Sunday evening:
“The Sheffield Police Department is currently investigating a Domestic Dispute that ended up being a Murder Suicide. Officers
received a call of a juvenile with a gunshot wound around 9:00 pm last night that occurred at Park Place Apartments #805.
When Officers arrived and entered the apartment to investigate, they noticed two individuals in the living room deceased with gunshot wounds. Ashley Lynn McClung, 38 years of age and Adam Christopher Narmore, 40 years of age. Ashley McClung and Christopher Narmore got into an altercation and Narmore shot Ashley McClung with a 410 shotgun. Ashley McClung’s ten-year-old son was trying to protect his mother when he was shot in the arm and in the face. Christopher Narmore then killed himself with the shotgun.
Sheffield Police rendered first aid to the juvenile by applying a tourniquet to slow the bleeding. He was transferred to Keller Hospital where he was later airlifted to U.A.B Children’s Hospital in Birmingham.
The ten-year-old juvenile was alert and speaking with Officers on scene. He is scheduled for surgery later today. McClung and Narmore’s bodies are being sent to forensics for an autopsy. Narmore and Mcclung were in a dating relationship. The investigation is still ongoing.” ~ Chief Ricky Terry
