Funeral service for Sharon “Shay” Riggs, 55, will be Sunday, March 26, 2017 at 3:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Phillip Hardin officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be Sunday, March 26, 2017 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the funeral home.
Miss Riggs died on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at her residence. She was born March 26, 1961, in Morgan County to Charles Thomas Riggs and Sarah Norwood Riggs. Sharon was a graduate of Morgan County High School and attended the University of Alabama and Shelton State College. Her passion was roller skating for several years and she won numerous awards while doing what she loved. Her love of animals took her to owning her own business, “Mama Shay’s Pet Sitting” , which was dedicated to their care. Sharon loved Alabama Football and was not afraid to voice her support anywhere and anytime. She was preceded in death by her father: Charles Riggs , Mother: Sarah Norwood Riggs and step-mother: Ann Riggs.
