Sharon Joan Hester, 81, of Tuscumbia, passed away Thursday, February 29, 2024. Visitation will be Sunday, March 3, from 2:00 until 3:30 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Cherokee. The funeral service will immediately follow in the funeral home chapel with Max Hester and Chip Martin officiating. Burial will be at Barton Cemetery.

Joan was a native of Cullman, AL and a retired Colbert County bus driver. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Hester; parents, Russell and Gena Schultz; and sister, Linda Hester. Joan was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and “Nenaw” who will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her children, Timothy Hester and Greg Hester (Sonya); grandchildren, Elijah Hester (Ashley), Anna Archer (Jared), and Plina Hester; great-grandchildren, Millie Archer, Elliott Archer, and Stetson Hester; nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Elijah Hester, Jared Archer, Jonathon Perry, Byron Hester, Dana Hester, Mike Sennett, and Mike Hester.
