Sentell awards trophy for “Best Ribs”

State Tourism Director, Lee Sentell presents the “Best Ribs” award.

FLORENCE – To celebrate Florence’s Smokin’ On The Boulevard winning the 2014 Alabama Barbecue Bracket, Alabama Tourism Director Lee Sentell, along with Florencel/Lauderdale Tourism Director Debbie Wilson and Florence Mayor  Mickey Haddock, presented Smokin’ On The Boulevard with their championship trophy for winning in the “Ribs” category.

Beating out more than 200 competitors large and small from across the state, the victory is a testament to the incredible barbecue restaurants Alabama has to offer and sheds light on The Shoals’ economic and cultural revitalization.
