LIMESTONE COUNTY-On January 13, 2026, the Limestone County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit, with assistance from the Limestone County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team, conducted a search warrant at a residence on Buckskin Drive.
As a result of the search, investigators located approximately 120 grams (4.4 ounces) of methamphetamine and a pistol.
Diana Jean Pierce, 64, of Athens, Alabama, was taken into custody and charged with Drug Trafficking – Methamphetamine. Pierce is currently being held in the Limestone County Jail on a $250,000.00 bond.
“Cases like this are only possible because of the teamwork, coordination, and trust between our units,” said Sheriff Joshua McLaughlin. “I’m proud of the joint effort between our Narcotics Unit and SWAT Team. We remain fully committed to keeping this dangerous drug out of Limestone County and protecting the families who call this county home.”
