Mrs. Patrice George Riviere died peacefully in Hospice Family Care on January 17, 2026, in Huntsville, AL, at the age of 86. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rene Riviere, her mother and father, Ida and Page George, her daughter, Erin Marie George, her sisters, Emogene Hugg and Meredith Wayne Parker, and her brothers, Bill George and T.J. George.
Mrs. Pat is survived by her sons, Lawson (Carly) Moore and Michael Riviere; her daughters, Michelle Riviere and Monique (Edward) Walker; and her grandchildren, Carver Moore, Cydia and Edward Walker, and Marissa and Tara Cutten.
A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at Laughlin Service Funeral Home, with visitation starting at 1:30 p.m., the service at 2:30 p.m., followed by entombment at Faith Memorial Park (8100 Madison Blvd). Pastor Mike Hulsey will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Mrs. Pat’s life.
Patrice George was born on October 19, 1939, in Lake City, AR. She graduated from Memphis State University, worked 23 years in law offices, and was a founding member of the National Association of Legal Secretaries. She was an enrolled student during the Arkansas school segregation and present during the MLK riots in Memphis.
She was an active member of Farley Community Church, a member of the New Covenant Emmaus Community, and had 57 years of teaching Sunday School, including Farley Community Church, Southside Baptist Church, and Monte Santo Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school as well as Saturday night out for Special Needs. She also led grief counseling/recovery as well as divorce recovery.
