Sean Dale Masterson, 45, died Saturday, Sept. 27, 2014, at Helen Keller Hospital, Sheffield.
He was an attorney at Thompson and Associates.
He is survived by his parents, Roger Masterson and Sheila, Wolf Springs; uncle, Bob Jeffreys; uncles and aunts, Ronnie Masterson and Brenda, Junior Waldrep and Kay; great-aunt, Glenice Carpenter; cousins, Michelle Waldrep, Justin and Leanne Waldrep, Philip and Sabrina Masterson, Scott and Gina Sims, Lance and Maggie Jeffreys, Mike and Stacie San Soucie, Josh and Meredith Clark; special friend, Mechelle Looney; a host of friends.
Pallbearers will be Lance Jeffreys, Justin Waldrep, Philip Masterson, Joe Morris, Jerome Thompson and Shane Terry.
Honorary pallbearer will be Scott Beck, Scott Steadman, Zeb Little, Scott McClure and Tommy Looiser.
He was preceded in death by his baby brother, and grandparents, Emmett and Ester B. Jeffreys, and Bennie and Dellie Masterson.
He was a member of Mount Zion No. 1 Missionary Baptist Church of Wolf Springs.
He served as church treasurer and Sunday school teacher. He was a graduate of Auburn University and Cumberland School of Law and attorney with Thompson and Associates for 20 years. He loved Auburn University and Auburn football. A man of his word who loved his friends, family and his Savior.

He will lie in state Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2014, from noon-2 p.m. at Mount Zion No. 1 Missionary Baptist Church, Wolf Springs. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the church, with Curtis Scofield and Brother Tim Graham officiating. Burial will be in Masterson Cemetery, Town Creek.
