Scott Pannell, beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend went to be with his Lord Jesus Christ on September 2, 2026 at the age of 42. Above all else, Scott was a devoted husband and loving father. He shared a beautiful life with his wife, Katelynn Brown Pannell. His greatest pride and joy were his two daughters, Charis and Everly. He loved being their father and “Daddy Honey.” His love for his wife and daughters was unconditional, and the lessons, laughter, and memories he gave them will remain with them always. Scott’s large stature stood out to others, but he was known for his gentle spirit and kind heart. Everyone will also remember him for his love for his family, his dogs, Ole Miss sports, and hunting. Scott’s life was a gift to those who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be deeply missed by his wife, Katelynn, and their daughters, Charis and Everly; his parents, Danny and Jean Pannell, his in-laws, Mark and Amy Brown, and Donna Brown; his brothers, Chase Pannell (Caila) and Josh Pannell (Cindy); his sister-in-law, Audri Rice (Will) and brother-in-law, Josh Brown (Abbey); his grandmother-in-law- his “Mimi” Clara Brown, and an abundance of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his step-brother, Robby Bingham, his maternal grandparents James and Flora Stepp, and paternal grandparents Joe and Estelle Pannell.
Funeral ceremony will be 3:00 PM Sunday, September 6, 2026, at Bethel Baptist Church in Dorsey, 445 Bethel Church Road, Fulton, MS 38843. Visitation will begin at 1:00 Sunday at Bethel Baptist Church. Dr. Kevin Clayton and Bro. Ryan Moorman officiating. Senter Funeral Home in Fulton is in charge of the arrangements.
Pallbearers include Tim Richardson, Matt Morgan, Wesley Morgan, Collin McGregor, Ryan White, Casey Gates, John David Gates, Josh Bowen, Garrett Dendy, Tyler Kidd, Trey Luttrell, and Dan Ray.
