MORGAN COUNTY-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports a singlevehicle accident in Morgan County has taken the life of a Hanceville man:
“A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 5:09 p.m. Saturday, December 14, has claimed the life of a Hanceville man.
David C. Acuff, 40, was fatally injured when the 2008 Chevrolet AVEO5 he was driving left the roadway, struck a mailbox, then struck a culvert before overturning. Acuff was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash and was ejected and pronounced deceased at the scene.
The crash occurred on Union Hill Church Road near Pitts Road, approximately three miles west of Eva, in Morgan County.
Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
