Funeral service for Sarah Williams Widner, 87, will be Saturday, January 24, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Pine Street Baptist Church with Bro. Randy Williams and Bro. Gary Dutton officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Falkville City Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, January 23, 2015 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Ms. Widner died on Thursday, January 22, 2015 at Falkville Health Care Center. She was born November 14, 1927, in Morgan County to Elton Clellie Gibson and Dollie Kilpatrick Gibson. She was a charter member of the Pine Street Baptist Church and was the “Mother of the Church”. Sarah was a nurse for 50 years and was always willing to help anyone in need. She was a very loving mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, and a wonderful friend. She was preceded in death by her parents, and two sons: Jimmy and John Paul Williams.
