Sarah L. Reich, 81, went home to be with her Heavenly Father Monday, March 10, 2014, at her home in the Peaceful Valley community. She was born July 14, 1932, in Monroe County to Charlie and Annie Smith Hill. She married James Reich on October 16, 1948. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior on July 12, 1952, at Cardsville Baptist Church and has worked in the church ever since. She was a member of Big Oak Baptist Church for almost 60 years and touched many lives through the church. She was a homemaker and retired from the United States Postal Service. An avid cook, she always fixed feasts for her family and friends. When someone was in need, she was the first one there. She helped numerous young preachers as they were starting out.
Services will be at 10 a. m. Wednesday, March 12, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton with Bro. Jackie Gray and Bro. Roger Franks officiating. Burial will be in Itawamba Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include two sons, Randy Reich (Gail) of Dorsey and Rickey Reich (Lynda) of Peppertown; two daughters, Kathryn Houston (Dennis) of Hatley and Wanda Carson (Rick) of Peaceful Valley; eight grandchildren, Chad Houston (Jamie), Rebecca Thompson (Trent), Chris Reich (Kaila), Steven Houston (Samantha), Alicia Humphres (Jason), Sidney Carson, T. J. Reich (April), and Ethan Reich; six great-grandchildren, Rhett and Rivers Reich, Andrew and Brady Houston, Addison Reich, and Benjamin Houston; one brother, Howard Hill (Jewel) of Cordova, TN; and two sisters-in-law, Barbara Hill of Franklin, TN, and Willa Dean Reich of Tilden.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and a brother, Billy Hill.
Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Her great-grandsons will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Visitation will be from 9 a. m. until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.
