Sarah Eva “Betty” Dixon, age 82, of Sheffield, died Tuesday, June 23, 2015. A memorial service will be Saturday, 2 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia with burial in Oakwood Cemetery, Sheffield.
Ms. Dixon was born in King City, MO and was a member of Valdosta Baptist Church and the Eastern Star and was retired from South Central Bell. She was preceded in death by her parents; Thomas and Maggie Davis Dixon, her brothers; Sam Dixon and Sgt. Major Bobby Joe Dixon.
She is survived by her nephews; Tommy Dixon (Wanda), Matt Dixon (Caacie), Randy Dixon, Carl Dixon (Susan), and Joel Dixon (Amy), sisters-in-law; Mary Sue Dixon and Vera Dixon, several great nephews and nieces, and her special friend; Sarah Jane Wheeler.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Valdosta Baptist Church.
