A Celebration of Life service for Sanford Satterfield, 95, of Decatur, will be held on Tuesday, April 26, 2016, at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel at 3 p.m. with Tim Sutton and Sam Binkley officiating. Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Satterfield, who died peaceably at home on Saturday, April 23rd, was born May 11, 1920, in Marshall County. He was a retired automobile technician and opened Satterfield’s Auto Tech in August 1975. He was a member of Somerville Road Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Reba, in 2009 after 64 years of marriage; three sons, Farris Satterfield (Jan), James Satterfield (Shelia), and Mike Satterfield (Susan), all of Decatur; one daughter, Rita Schenk (Stuart), of Smith Lake; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren, plus two due soon.
