Sandra Renea Rhea McCartney, 58, of Florence, passed away August 7, 2025, at Glenwood Rehabilitation Center.
She graduated from Coffee High School Class of ’85, then continued her education at the University of Alabama with a law degree. She worked as a Magistrate Judge in Florence, Alabama for 20 years. She was a diehard Alabama football fan.
Visitation will be Monday, August 18, 2025, from noon-2:00 p.m., at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Park. Officiating will be Jerry Rea. Rev. Jerry Ray and Joshua Turner are officiants.
Sandra was preceded in death by her father, William (Sonny) Rhea; her mother, Ruby Collins Rhea; and her brother, Terry Rhea.
She is survived by her husband, Mike McCartney; daughter, Lauren Demastus, (Justin); grandchildren, Dean and Lyla Demastus; nephew, Thomas Rhea; and godmother of Sheldale Lindsey Turner and Joshua Lindsey.
Pallbearers will be friends and family.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Josh Lindsey and Thomas Rhea.
