Sammy Merchant, Sr., age 73 of Sulligent, AL passed away Friday July 10, 2020 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, MS. Funeral services will be held Monday, July 13, 2020 at 2:00pm from Otts Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Wofford Cemetery. Bro. Matthew Paul and Bro. Edward Puckett to officiate. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Sunday, July 12, 2020 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm.
Sammy was born to the late Bradford Merchant and Ruby Gray O’mary on March 6, 1947. He attended Sulligent schools. He was a truck driver for 30 years. He retired from Bolzoni Auramo as a machine operator. He enjoyed fishing and football.
