Sammie Grooms , age 89 of Loretto, TN passed away Saturday, August 14, 2021 at The Gardens Memory Care after an extended illness. He was a native of Lawrence County,TN, a United States Army veteran serving in the Korean Conflict, retired from TVA, and a member of Loretto United Methodist Church. Mr. Grooms loved bird hunting and baseball. Graveside Services will be held at Loretto Memorial Gardens on Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at 1:00 PM. Jeff Jacob will be officiating. Burial will follow in Loretto Memorial Gardens with military honors presented at the graveside. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Loretto Untied Methodist Church Building Fund.
