Funeral Services for Mrs. Ruth Parker Buckhannan, age 95 1/2 of Delta, will be held on Monday, June 23, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville with Pastor David Porter officiating. Burial will follow at Union D Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Buckhannan was born in Clay County and lived here all her life. She worked at Higgins Sewing Plant for 32 years and for several years had worked for the Carey Baptist Association Thrift Store. She was also a long time member of Center West Baptist Church.
Mrs. Buckhannan is survived by her daughter, Linda Dingler and husband Jacky; grandson, Patrick Dingler and wife Jamie; two grandchildren, Jackson and Laneybeth Dingler; by many nieces nephews and other extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Oscar Dee and Lou Parker; her husband, Lawrence Buckhannan; granddaughter, Regina Lynn Dingler and 10 siblings.
Pallbearers will be Bill Driggers, Scotty Ivey, Lowell Jones, Danny Breedlove, Mike Breedlove and Daniel Smith.
Visitation will take place on Sunday, June 22, 2025 at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville from 5:30 until 8:00.
