Ruth Hannah Zimmerman, age 91 of Winchester, passed away on Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at The Waters of Winchester. A native of Franklin County, she was born in Winchester on March 25, 1929 to the late Lyle Malcolm and Eula Mae (Riddle) Hannah. In her younger years, Ruth worked as a hair dresser, at the hat factory, and assisted her husband on the dairy farm. Hard-working, Ruth was a devoted homemaker, and she cherished the time spent raising her beloved family. She also enjoyed flower gardening and bird watching. Ruth was a dedicated member of The First United Church of Belvidere. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-seven years, Adrian Zimmerman; son, Richard Zimmerman; and siblings, Mary Martin, Pete Hannah, Kenneth Hannah, and Wayne Hannah. Ruth is survived by her loving children, Kathy (Don) Collins of Winchester, Emily (Beauford) Wilson of Hallsville, Missouri, and Joe (Katherine) Zimmerman of Mansfield, Texas; five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and many nieces and nephews. A Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, November 21, 2020 at Green Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations are made to your favorite charity.
