Ruby Louise Jenkins Ruff, a great soul, departed this life for her life in eternity from Methodist Hospital-Olive Branch on Friday, January 31, 2025 after a sudden illness. She was 75 years old. Ruby was born in Guntown, MS, on February 22, 1949 to the late Luther Turner and Flora Dell Jenkins Mabry. Ruby graduated from the J. O. Lowe School in Guntown in 1966. Ruby attended Foster’s School of Cosmetology and first worked as a beautician. She spent over 40 years employed with Rockwell/Delta International serving in various capacities. It was there she met her husband, Henry Lee Ruff, who died on August 25, 2023. After retirement from a full career in various capacities at Rockwell/Delta, Ruby started work for Comfort Keepers, a job she loved until God called her home. Ruby gave birth to two daughters, Tracie Jenkins Berry (Mike) and Felicia Michelle Ruff, who survive. Always armed with a joyful countenance and perfect smile, she loved fishing, traveling and thrift shopping. Ruby loved her family dearly and her church, Second Baptist Church in Verona. Her devotion to God, family and community will be her legacies and she will be sorely missed by all.

A service celebrating her life will be held at 12 Noon Saturday, Feb. 8, 2025 at Second Baptist Church in Verona. Burial will follow in Porter’s Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 4 PM-6PM Friday at Holland Funeral Directors-Tupelo and from 11 AM-service time on Saturday. Holland Funeral Directors-Tupelo is honored to be serving their friends.

Ruby is survived by her children Tracie Berry (Mike) and Felicia Ruff; Her grandchildren Brittney Trice (Chris), Chelsea Berry, Angel Walker, Zachari Ruff, Abria Ruff, Akia Long, and Keithan Griffin: her siblings, Dwenia Moore, Lois Macklin, Jackie Mabry, Rodney Turner, Tommy Mabry, Lawrence McGee (Rose), Mary Ruth, Dorothy Braham, Qaiyim Abdullah (Mabry); 16 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, a favorite cousin Felcitee Foster and a host of other cousins and their families; special friend, Mr. John Holland; three honorary daughters, Kimberley Crump, Lesha Agnew, and Andrea Cobb, and beloved sisters-in-law, Paulette Jenkins and Dev Cummings. Ruby was preceded in death by her grandmother, Rose Ann Harris; mother, Flora Dell Jenkins; her husband, Henry Lee Ruff; step-father, Leon Mabry; step-mother, Viola Jones Turner; step-daughter, Doris Ann Claiborne; brother, Travis Mabry; step-brother, Donald Mabry; sister, Katherine Spears; brothers, Beauford O’Neal Jenkins, and Joe Cummings; grandson, Christopher Lee Walker.
