Ruby Jewel Cantrell, 77, died Friday, December 21, 2018 at Generations of Red Bay. She was born November 25, 1941 in Franklin County, AL and was a factory worker for fifteen years. She was a member of Vina First Baptist Church.

Services will be Saturday, December 22, 2 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, AL with Bro. Jerry Ginn and Bro. W.D. Humphres officiating. Burial will be in Halltown Cemetery, Vina, AL. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.

Survivors are two granddaughters – Tracie Whittington (Chuck) Bluntsville, AL and Tami White, Vina, AL; five great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two sisters – Darcie Lindley, Golden, MS and Ann Wilkins (Randy) Red Bay, AL and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Cantrell; a daughter, Debra Ann Young; parents, George Scott and Lena Howard Scott and brothers and sisters, Everlean Scott Coats, George Junior Scott, Billy Joe Scott, Ratha Scott, Edgie Scott, Idell Pounders, Arbie Scott, Lorene Jones, Leuvenia Bray, Lucille Presley and Melvin Clement.

Pallbearers will be Shannon Lindley, Damion Whittington, Patrick White, Ricky Coats, Bruce Coats and Charlie Whittington.

Visitation will be Saturday, December 22, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL.
