R.C. Byram – Obituary

 R.C. Byram, 92, died Thursday, December 20, 2018 at his granddaughter’s residence in Troy, AL. He was born September 30, 1926 in Itawamba County, MS and worked as a logger. He was a minister for over forty years and attended Second Street Church of Christ. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Services will be Saturday, December 22, 2 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Belmont, MS with Ron Deaton and Wallace Williams officiating. Burial will be in Belmont City Cemetery, Belmont, MS. Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS will be in charge of arrangements.

He is survived by two granddaughters-Laura Matthews (Josh) of Montgomery, AL and Teresa Ross (Marc) of Troy, AL and three great-grandsons-Hunter and Drake Ross and James Matthews and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lula Byram; a daughter, Peggie Fryer, his parents, Lee Byram and Effie Mann Byram and several brothers and sisters.

Pallbearers will be Alan Williams, Jerry Dees, Daniel Davis, Dean Holt, John Williams and Joey Moore.

Visitation will be Saturday, December 22, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS.
