Mountain Man, Royce “RD” Hagood, age 71 of Jasper, passed into the presence of the Lord on June 10, 2023. He was born March 5, 1952 in Oakman, AL. In 2000, he married the love of his life, Marie Hagood. Mr. Hagood was a retired truck driver and was owner/operator of R&M Trucking.
He was preceded in death by his Father-Elsie Hagood and Mother-Lottie Brown Hagood; Mother-in-law-Nellie Ray; Stepson-Michael Ray; Sisters-in-law-Lanell Ray and Rose Ray.
He is survived by his Wife-Marie Hagood; his Children-Jennifer Turner and Regina Turner; his Grandchild-Randy Harris (Allison) and Great Grandchild-Hadlee Davis; Sister-in-law-Pat Brown and Brother-in-law-Paul Ray; Nephews-Johnny Brown (Lisa), Larry Brown (Carla), Tony Brown (Margret); Niece-Lanntte Swindell (Brian); Cousins-Hattie Harris and Veda Blackston; Close family friend-Jessica Todd and many others.
Visitation will be held Friday, June 16, 2023 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Collins-Burke Funeral Home, Jasper, AL. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 17, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. in the Collins-Burke Chapel. Burial will be at Union Chapel Cemetery. Mark Ottis and Bobby Smith will officiate.
