Roy Lee McGee, age 82, of Winchester, Tennessee, passed away on January 2, 2025, at Elk River Nursing & Rehabilitation. Roy was born on February 16, 1942, in Winchester, Tennessee, to the late William and Annie Mae (Simmons) McGee. He was a member of Old Cowan Road Church of Christ. Roy was the beloved owner of Professional Welder in Nashville, Tennessee. A master welder and craftsman, Roy dedicated over 35 years to serving his community with unparalleled skills and integrity, transforming metal into works of art. His passion for welding was only matched by his love for the Pittsburg Stealers. Roy’s warm personality, infectious laughter, and unwavering support will be missed by all. He leaves a legacy of unforgettable jokes, hilarious stories, and an unmatched ability to find humor in everyday moments. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Lawrence McGee “Butch”, William McGee” Doug”, Josephine McGee, Irene Hill, Barbara Perkins, Thomas McGee, Jeanie McGee, Fannie Mae McGee, Floyd McGee, and Lula McGee. He is survived by his sisters, Dyana (Michael) Trigg of Winchester, Mable Vaden of Akron, Ohio, and Willie Mae King of Loraine, Ohio; sister-in-law, Nancy Farris of Winchester; special niece and nephew, Ricky (Marlene) McGee of Winchester and Rose (James) Francis of Springfield, Missouri, and Audrey Perkins Austin of Rock Hill, South Carolina; a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family. Visitation with the family will be held at Watson Funeral Home on Saturday, January 11, 2025, from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM with the funeral following at 12:00 PM in the Roy B.
