Roy Junior Harvey, 85, of Florence, passed away Thursday, December 27, 2012 at his residence after an extended illness. He was a member of Fairview Church of Christ, and of the Labors Local #366.
Visitation will be Friday, December 28, 2012 from 6 – 9 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Saturday, December 29, 2012 at 11 a.m. in Greenview Memorial Chapel. Officiating will be Sonny Bogus. Burial will follow in Greenview Memorial Park.
Mr. Harvey was preceded in death by his parents, Nettie Dean and Luther Harvey; son, Charles O’Neal Harvey; sisters, Elsie Skipworth, Bessie Bostick, Goldie Harvey, and Thelma Harrison.
He is survived by his wife, Winnell F. Park Harvey; daughter, Sherry Dawn Hines and husband Randy; grandchildren, Randall (Paula), Marcus (Michele), and Matthew (Tiffany) Hines, Brian, Micheal, and Kevin Harvey; five great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jim Myhan, Jacky Hayes, Randy Nelson, Wayne Fowler, Rayford Gist, E.R. Pruitt, Tommy Cleveland, and Ronnie Gist.
