Roy Grooms, age 82, passed away on Thursday, December 21, 2023, in Decaturville. He was born April 22, 1941 in Chester County to the late Ben Hubbard and Lurlie Cash Grooms. He was U. S. Army Veteran and retired from Leroy Somer. He enjoyed hunting. He was preceded in death by his brother, Royce Denton Grooms. Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Mrs. Betty Fields Grooms; his sister, Linda Brown; his nieces, Jennifer Leslie and Angela Garner; and his nephews, Marty Grooms, Mark Bailey, Chris Bailey, Johnathan Fields, and Jason Fields.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 PM, Saturday, December 23, 2023 in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home in Scotts Hill. Interment will follow in Pafford Scotts Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, 11 AM – 2 PM at Pafford Funeral Home in Scotts Hill.
